GoPro Enters 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Season with James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto and Davi Millsaps

SAN MATEO, CA (JAN 3, 2013) – GoPro, maker of the world’s most versatile camera, kicks off the 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season as the official sports camera and announces it’s world-class athlete lineup and premier moto-properties for the 2013 season.

GoPro’s dominance on the track will be stronger than ever as the sports top riders including 2012 SX champion, Ryan Villopoto, 2012 SX runner-up, Davi Millsaps and multi-time champ, James Stewart will be sporting the new HERO3 camera as official GoPro athletes. Alongside these icons, GoPro is a proud sponsor of the Troy Lee Designs Honda and Pro Circuit Kawasaki Lites teams.

In addition to its impressive lineup of riders, GoPro is the official sports camera for premier properties including 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series, 2013 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, 2013 AMSOIL Arenacross and 2013 Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Motocross Championship.

The new GoPro HERO3 camera is made to handle tough conditions while capturing angles like never before. During each SPEED and CBS television broadcast, fans at home will enjoy “The GoPro Track View”, to give the viewers a rider’s perspective of each Supercross track, captured with the award winning HERO3 camera mounted to the rider’s helmet. This immersive experience will provide fans with a firsthand look at the ruts, bumps and jumps the riders will face as they put everything on the line at each of the 17 races this Season.
